NEW Florida Board of Medicine Standards for Office Based Surgery (Rule 64B8-9.009) has been released and in effect as of 5-7-2018.

NEW REGULATION #2 - NEW RULE
NEW RULE - General Requirements (2)(4)(o) - When Level II, IIA. or III procedures are performed, the surgeon is responsible for providing the patient, in writing, prior to the procedure, the name and location of the hospital where the surgeon has privileges to perform the same procedure as that being performed in the out patient setting, or the name and location where the surgeon or the facility has a transfer agreement.
